AMONG THE many comments of netizens and sports fans on the John Amores incident from last Tuesday night, Lester Prosper's stood out.
Instead of reacting violently to the Filoil EcoOil Centre rampage, the Terrafirma Dyip import invited the beleaguered Jose Rizal University player to a sit-down dinner.
"John, you should come have dinner with me, hit me up, king, let’s talk, me and you," the naturalized Indonesian national team player said on a Facebook post.
He continued: "Someone please deliver this message to him, I got some advice for you, king, to help save your career, and what you can do to be better moving forward. We don't give up on each other."

Amores threw punches at the closing minutes of yesterday's game between JRU and the College of St. Benilde. He hit two players in a melee, forcing the game to be abandoned and Amores himself to be escorted out of the arena.
This wasn't the first time the player has been involved in physical altercations.
Last July 2022, he had a heated encounter with University of the Philippines recruit Mark Belmonte. Two months ago, something similar happened between him and Letran's Kobe Monje.
In a different post, Prosper reiterated: "YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT SOMEONE'S GOING THROUGH IN LIFE, maybe I can help, if not, it’s okay."
He added: "I just know how it feels to have built up anger, and no one is there to talk to and give you real advice, especially at that age."
