YOUNG actor Awra Briguela turned into a plain fan when he met former La Salle stars and now F2 Logistics mainstays Ara Galang, Dawn Macandili and Aby Maraño.
The Kapamilya star was present on Tuesday at The Arena in San Juan, showing his all-out support for the Cargo Movers in a 26-24, 21-25, 25-21, 25-14 win over Cignal in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix.
“Ang saya, sobrang saya. Kasi first time ko silang ma-meet,” said the internet sensation turned actor, who proudly wore F2 Logistics' team color.
“Actually fan na talaga ko ng La Salle before pa, [time pa] nina Tyang Aby, ni Ara Galang and also Macandili. That’s why love ko rin ‘yung F2 kasi karamihan sa kanila taga-La Salle,” he added.
If his first meeting with his idols wasn't enough, Awra said he was also invited to join the Cargo Movers’ training this week.
“Super [dream come true] tapos makaka-training ko pa sila kaya super ibang [level na],” he added.
The regular cast member of the ABS-CBN hit series FPJ's Ang Probinsiyano said he also plays the game regularly.
Asked to compare himself to his idols, Awra said he is a combination of two outstanding players.
“Ara Galang na sinapian ni Macandili, ganoon,” he said.
