Foton import Courtney Felinski had a blast calling Game 1 of PSL Finals

First-time analyst Courtney Felinski had a blast after her first stint at the panel

IT was her first time, but it was a fun and unforgettable experience.

Foton import Courtney Felinski had a different role on Tuesday, serving as TV analyst for Game One of the best-of-three finals series between Petron and F2 Logistics in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix at The Arena in San Juan.

“It was so much fun. I was a little bit nervous but, I was like, I just have to talk about volleyball, which I do all the time anyway. So it came across naturally,” said the American open spiker, who joined Tex Suter and Anthony Suntay on the panel.

Even though the Tornadoes didn’t make it far in the conference, Felinski still had something to brag about.

“So now I can brag to my friends that I can do it on the microphone for everyone to hear,” she said, chuckling.

The bubbly volleybelle also admitted being an analyst is very different from being a leader on the court.

She stressed she made a conscious effort to be careful about what she'd say on the air.

“It’s more formal [being an analyst]. On the court I’m free, I can say whatever I want, even though there’s a camera I don’t notice,” she said. “[On being an analyst] I have to be careful on what I say and make sure I was articulate and made sense to everyone listening.”

When asked about her thoughts about the series, Felinski sounded like she's been in the TV sports commentary game for so long.

“It was a great game," she said after F2 Logistics stunned the erstwhile undefeated defending champion Petron in four sets. "F2 did exactly what they had to do. I think they knew they had to come out really hard and really strong to put Petron on their heels.”

But she cautioned: “Petron [on the other hand] is a champion team, they’re not just gonna lie down so it’s gonna be a good series. I think there will be a Game Three, Petron’s too good to let it go in Two.”
