FROM a carefree soul to a responsible father, Columbian Dyip rookie CJ Perez shared the reason for his 180-degree turn.
The PBA rising star is still the same player - he goes all-out every game, he doesn’t get intimidated by on-court bullies, but his mindset and priorities have changed.
Sobrang laking blessing niya sa akin,” he said after one of their games in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.
A more matured Perez beamed with pride and joy when he told SPIN.ph about his three-month-old daughter Ciana Tanisha.

It was on December 10, 2018 that changed his life forever, the day his daughter was born.
The Pangasinan native further explained that he’s motivated to always give his best every game as he slowly makes a name for himself in the professional league.
“Syempre inspired ako lagi maglaro kasi I love the game and kasi gusto kong lagi kong binibigay ang best ko sa ginagawa ko and sa family,” he said.
“Ngayon may baby na ako and mas pinagbututihan ko pang maglaro kasi para sa kanila naman ‘yun and sa Mama ko and sa family ko sa Pangasinan. Pero syempre hindi ko naman magagawa ‘to kung walang tulong ni God, kapag nag pray ka natutupad,” he added.
