ATTEMPTING to bring some semblance of normalcy to the audience's viewing experience, WWE rolled out its brand new ThunderDome on Friday (Saturday, Manila time) on this week's episode of SmackDown.
Mimicking the NBA's lead in showing virtual audieces in the arena, video boards have been placed around the ring as the pro-wrestling outfit relocated to the Amway Center in Orlando.
As in the NBA, just a few kilometers away, fans who are admitted will be shown watching the shows at the confines of their homes.
Chances to join this virtual crowd abound, as the audience is rotated every 15 to 30 minutes of the show.
Of course, delivering the brand of entertainment that's become the WWE signature, fireworks and lasers are also placed in this brand new setup as the company continues to hold shows despite the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Take a look.
The new technology has been rolled in time for WWE's midseason event SummerSlam on Sunday (Monday Manila time).
WWE has been housed at its Performance Center since March and even staged its flagship event WrestleMania in early April behind closed doors and without any audiences present — the first time they had to do so in three decades.
