RAINY weekend? No problem.

Sunday's a good time as any to stay in and tuck under the sheets, not only because of the bed weather but also because of three exciting matches that will keep you glued to the television, beginning with the Philippine women's football team's final group-stage match at the Fifa Women's World Cup.

Kick-off at Eden Park in Auckland is 7 p.m. (3 p.m., Manila time), with the Filipinas looking to slay another giant and book an unlikely place in the round of 16 of the 2023 Fifa Women's World Cup in New Zealand and Australia.

If you are to go out, attending one of the many watch parties put up for the history-seeking Filipinas' crucial match against former World Cup and Olympic champion Norway around the metropolis won't be a bad idea.

The match, carried by One Sports, will also be available in a watch party to be hosted by adidas at The Mansions Makati. Cignal is also hosting watch parties in SM malls, including one at the MOA Music Hall in Pasay City.

Hours before that, Nonito Donaire attempts to become the oldest reigning world bantamweight champion when he fights Mexican Alejandro Santiago for the WBC title on Sunday morning (Manila time) in Las Vegas.

Donaire, 40, will be fighting in the undercard of the welterweight unification fight between unbeaten fighters Terence Crawford and Errol Spence, which, this early, is being compared to the great Leonard-Duran-Hearns rivalries of the 80s.

Crawford and Spence are expected to make their ring walks at 11 p.m. (Manila time) at T-Mobile Arena in Vegas, meaning Donaire vs Santiago and two other undercards will be held before that.
