BIENVE Marañon sang the Philippine national anthem in front of Senators after the Committee on Justice and Human Rights recently approved his naturalization bid.
The committee headed by Sen. Richard Gordon passed Senate Bill No. 2058 that seeks the naturalization of Marañon and Ivory Coast cager Ange Kouame.

Marañon took his intention to become a Filipino to the next level.
Marañon was asked by Gordon to sing the national anthem and the Spanish striker obliged, doing it while wearing an Azkals jersey, putting one hand on his chest, and holding a small Philippine flag.
"I know enthusiasm when I see one," Gordon quipped.

Gordon was impressed.
Marañon vowed to make Filipinos proud once his naturalization becomes official.
“Maraming salamat po,” Marañon replied to the tweet of Gordon on Thursday. “I will make you and the country proud of me. Thanks for the support, boss.”
