WITH San Miguel’s blowout victory against Magnolia in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup opening Sunday, birthday boy Chris Ross couldn’t ask for a better gift.
Plus, the Beermen captain had his newest, greatest supporter at the sidelines, cheering her heart out inside the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
This fresh face is none other than F2 Logistics star Kalei Mau, a sporty standout among the sea of red fans. And every time Ross made a solid play, he found Kalei in the crowd and made a ‘hang loose’ gesture.

“We push each other. She’s amazing on her sport, and I told her I just want to keep up with her,” Ross shared with SPIN Life. “We keep each other motivated, and we hold each other accountable.”
Mau was recently named MVP of the Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Conference.
The SMB captain said that he and Kalei have a special connection, since both are athletes. She understands what he needs to survive the demands of the sport. Ever since they started dating, “she feeds me well, she makes me try to eat good, try to get some good sleep, and it’s all good. She’s amazing and I’m happy to have her by my side," Ross said.
Ross made four points, five rebounds, and seven assists on Sunday night, as San Miguel routed Magnolia, 94-78, to grab first win in the All-Filipino conference.
