WHAT started as a friendly online bet among volleyball fans has turned into a special treat for the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws.
On Sunday, FEU stunned La Salle in a five-set thriller to prevent the Lady Spikers from clinching the No. 2 spot and a twice-to-beat advantage in the UAAP Season 81 women’s volleyball tournament.
The Lady Tams’ win gave the Tigresses a chance at the No. 2 spot in a playoff against the Lady Spikers on Wednesday.
As a token of gratitude, UST assistant coach Ian Fernandez on Monday sent pancit to the Lady Tamaraws' practice. The following day, UST supporters sent boxes of pizza to the FEU camp.
