AN avid fan will go to great lengths to show his support.
On Wednesday, a big UP fan in a strange costume led the cheers for the Fighting Maroons in an 80-77 victory over National University at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
He declined to be identified by name, only wishing to be named as the 'Miracle Monster.'
said the fan. "Almost every game nandito ako for UP, but this is the first time I dressed up. It just so happened that I have a costume sa bodega, and luckily, UP colors."
"We want our boys to succeed, and even in the most creative ways, we have to show it,"
The fan said he hopes that the whole UP fandom support not only the men's basketball team, but also the rest of their athletes competing in the UAAP.
"Sana maging confidence-booster 'to, not only sa mga nagche-cheer and sa basketball, but also for every team ng UP sa UAAP. Kaya nga 'Atin 'to' eh, hindi 'Akin 'to', we want all of them to succeed," he shared.
The enthusiastic supporter also shared that win or lose, the Diliman-based squad could count on them.
He added: "Kahit sa mga talo, we supported, and we will continue to support."
