UAAP Season 82 took a break from the thrilling men's basketball finals festivities for the equally anticipated annual cheerdance competition on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.
The NU Pep Squad gave National University fans a reason to celebrate, following a forgettable college hoops campaign. The Sampaloc-based group successfully defended its title with a Filipino-themed routine, five-tier pyramid formation, and near-flawless execution. It was NU's sixth cheerdance crown in seven years.
Runner-up FEU Cheering Squad channeled Michael Jackson, while the Adamson Pep Squad rounded out the podium finishers — in a uncanny repeat of last year's results.
