Tri United Series resumes as huge field of triathletes answer call in Subic Bay race

Tri United 3 has attracted some 80 triathletes seeing action in the Subic Bay race.

AROUND 800 triathletes are expected to answer the gun when the Unilab Active Health (ULAH) Tri United Series resumes on Sunday at the Subic Bay Freeport.

Tri United 3 finally gets going behind a 1.9 kilometer swim, 90 km bike, and 21 km. run that starts from ACEA Resort (Dungaree Beach) inside the former US Navy base traversing through the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) and reaching Alviera in Porac, Pampanga where the run course and finish line are located.

Also set up in the event organized by Bike King and presented by ULAH, is the Triking Distance course of 1 km swimming, 60 km. bike, and 10 km. run.

At stake in the event are cash prizes worth P10,000, P6,000, and P4,000, respectively for the top 3 Male Elite and top 3 Female Elite winners.

The meet is also supported by ULAH, Enervon Activ, Active Health Carb Gel, Enervon HP, NLEX-SCTEX Cycling, Orbea, Saucony, WeatherPhilippines, TIMEX, Gardenia, The Lighthouse Marina Resort, Court Meridian Hotel and Suites, Oxford Hotel and Casino, SwimBikeRun.ph, Multisports magazine, RaceDay and SPIN.ph .

All top 3 male and female in the relay and team category winners will be receiving medals and gift packs while the top 3 team competition winners will receive trophies, medals, and gift packs.

The awarding ceremony is set at 2 p.m. at the Active Health Village located at Alviera.

To cap this year’s Tri United series, the top age groupers and teams of the year will be honored on Nov. 6 during an awarding party to be held at the BBZ Bar in Makati City.
