TOURISM has been hit hard over the past three months.

Last year, the country logged in more than 8 million international tourists, and the government was projecting 9.2 million visitors in 2020. Tourism secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat had even set a target revenue of P4.454 trillion for this year, according to a report from Business World.

And then, of course, COVID-19 happened.

But some good news is on the sunny horizon. The Department of Tourism (DOT) will allow travel for leisure to places under Modified General Community Quarantine, or MGCQ. (Of course, this will still be subject to travel restrictions by the local government.)

In fact, the DOT even set up a website at philippines.travel/safeph to answer important questions from tourists, tour operators, resort owners, hotel administration, and more.

In the website, the government agency also list down accredited places to stay per major city.

In any case, when lockdown begins, where will you go first?

Let this video give you some ideas.
