'Stay Kawhi' chants roared as Toronto celebrated historic win

MORE than two million fans overwhelmed their beloved NBA champs Toronto Raptors at their victory parade earlier today.

Naturally, social media was abuzz with some of the most unique man-on-the-street takes on the event, with no less than the online-savvy Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau leading the barrage.

Local news personalities, obviously, immersed themselves in the action. This one, in particular, ensured Raptors superfan Nav Bhatia, the day's Honorary Parade Marshall, got his moment in the spotlight.

Award-winning hip-hop superstar, Toronto mega-cheerleader, and Mike Budenholzer-nemesis Drake, of course, was right smack in the middle of the festivities, spending grand time with the team on their bedecked parade bus.

Toronto hyped the day with a somewhat low-key groove from ex-Warriors and now three-time NBA champ Patrick McCaw, who continues to rake in the money, thanks to his rep as dependable magic "bunot" in the league.

The crowd expectedly came in droves, carrying creative placards that pretty much expressed their undying love for the Raptors. One, though, scored the biggest laughs with this astute reflection:

Naturally, the majority of the crowd reserved their biggest love for soon-to-be free agent and NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard. His status in Canada has apparently reached supreme being heights.

Kyle Lowry, one of Toronto's tenured top guns, joined in on the fun as fans serenaded the quiet superstar with their emphatic "Stay Kawhi" chants.

Naturally, things got a lot more thunderous from there.

But, you know, Kawhi — the Board Man always stays on-brand no matter what. So it was no surprise his soundbytes were purposely generic and bland.

At least, he blessed the day with this last-second, Mr. Fun Guy gem.

Which, perhaps, was the only proper way to set up this most fitting final act.
