THE LAKERS continue their Disney cruise to the championship trophy with a never-in-doubt Game 2 win against a depleted Heat lineup.
From the opening tip to the final whistle, it was a Lake Show all the way.
Fans on Twitter seemingly picked up on the lopsided matchup, and so the trending charts stayed dim when it came to the usual Finals chatter. If in Game 1, the Lakers trended with half a million tweets at the close of the game, Game 2 reactions were more muted.
‘Game 2’ had around 131,000 tweets, ‘LeBron’ about 160,000, ‘Kobe’ with about 50,000.
Eternal trending topic ‘Kuzma’ made it (again) on the list with around 16,000 tweets.
Commentary on the social platform made light of the one-sided battle, with digs volleyed at Kelly Olynyk and JR Smith, who you’d never usually see trending on Twitter.
Take a look.
These two just racking in the numbers
Best use of brow
Herro... or villain?
JR Smith got some minutes...and a lot of digs
As did Kelly Olynyk, who scored 24 tonight
Kyle Kuzma will never catch a Twitter break
The Heat-Lakers series will continue on Monday morning (Sunday night, Orlando time).
