SUN, sea and sails combine when the country’s top Hobie cat sailors engage in a game of maritime chess at the 2013 Hamilo Coast Regatta this weekend in Batangas.
Seven teams composed of international and local sailors will compete in their Hobie 16 catamarans in the regatta off the Nasugbu coast on Saturday and Sunday that kickstarts the new sailing season.
The annual event is organized by Costa del Hamilo, Inc. in partnership with the Philippine Inter-island Sailing Foundation (PHINSAF).
The two-day coastal racing event will cover a good portion of the 13 coves that encompass the Hamilo Coast where the sailors' hope to maximize their ability in making use of the conditions of the day.
Hosting the annual regatta for the third year is the picturesque Pico de Loro Cove, a luxury resort residence promoting a coastal community lifestyle.
