Great things start from small beginnings – and that was proven yet again this year after Carlos Yulo went from being part of ‘Yagit Team’ in a small gym in Manila all the way to standing out for two gold medals in the Paris Olympics.
Of course, for small beginnings to even, well, begin, there has to be belief. And since Day One, MILO has been a big believer of Philippine gymnastics.
In particular, one of Yulo’s biggest breaks early on came thanks to the MILO Little Olympics, as well as the partnership between MILO and Club Gymnastica in Pasig. From there, the Philippines’ double golden boy was molded into the world-class athlete who would rule the floor and vault disciplines in the 2024 Games.
And it’s not just gymnastics that MILO has been a big believer of. For six decades now, the brand has established and reinforced grassroots programs for badminton, basketball, football, karatedo, pole vault, swimming, taekwondo, and weightlifting, among many others.
For its unwavering faith in Filipino athletes such as Yulo, Hidilyn Diaz, EJ Obiena, Alyssa Valdez, and Kiefer Ravena, MILO is well worthy to be SPIN.ph’s Sportsman Who Cares for 2024.
