Snoop Dogg needs to do more NBA play-by-play commentary

ON MONDAY morning (Sunday night in their time zone), Snoop Dogg was present during the San Antonio Spurs-Los Angeles Lakers NBA game, where Spurs mascot the Coyote acknowledged his presence by offering him a San Antonio jersey. It didn't stop the living hip-hop legend, though, from rooting for his hometown Lakers — from behind the broadcaster's desk.

The rapper providing play-by-play commentary in the third quarter was everything you expected it to be and more:

Then again, when has Snoop Dogg ever needed a beat and rhyme just to be the "highest" entertainer? His signature freestyle and flow is ever-present even in the way he speaks, which is a No. 1 record in itself.

Snoop shamelessly cheering for the Purple and Gold turned out to be a hit, as the Lakers held off the Spurs, 103-96. LeBron James had 21 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds, while Dwight Howard had 14 markers on 7-of-7 shooting and 13 boards.

Seriously, just give the man an NBA commentating gig.
