AFTER several tweet exchanges, UST Growling Tigress alumna Cherry Rondina finally met and saw Rhenz Abando play live when she joined the sea of yellow on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
"Isa siya sa mga sinu-support ko," she shared. "'Pag nakikita ko si Abando talaga, parang proud, sobrang nasa-starstruck ako. First time ko siyang makitang maglaro sa personal, first time ko manood ng live this season."
The two high-flyers from their respective sports have been the talk of the town after multiple online conversations for the past few weeks. Sisi even posted a photo on Twitter:
"Sobrang taas talaga ng talon niya," she said. "Masaya ako kasi nakikita ng tao kung gaano kagaling, mabait, at humble si Rhenz, and alam naman natin na doon nagugustuhan ng marami si Abando."
Sisi also embraces #CheRhenz, a nickname created by some fans pairing the two dynamos.
"Shini-ship nga daw nila kami, #CheRhenz," she said, joking alongside former teammate Dimdim Pacres while watching the game.
Unfortunately, Sisi's presence wasn't enough to prevent UST (4-4 win-loss) from falling to unbeaten Ateneo, 66-52, as Abando was shackled to a season-low seven points.
