Sisi, who's known to love UST with all her heart, assured Abando that he made the right choice of not leaving the Growling Tigers lair despite receiving offers from other schools.
"Ako na mismo ang magsasabi, hindi siya magsisisi na pinili niya ang UST," she said.
The former UST women's volleyball team captain understands that whenever players make a name for themselves, opposing teams get tempted.
Rondina, who has received her fair share of online bashing during his five years in the UAAP, came to Abando's defense. She explained that players have different backgrounds and perspectives, which lead to their decisions.
At the same time, she stressed that he should be patient, as success doesn't happen overnight.
"Iba-iba kami ng perspective as players. For me, hindi ka talaga magsisisi choosing UST," Sisi said. "Just wait for his spotlight, kung ano talaga 'yung magiging outcome ng hard work niya, hindi sa ibang tao."
On a lighter note, fans are shipping Rondina and Abando, calling them #CheRhenz. Both are known to be high-flyers that fuel their respective teams with boundless energy.
Sisi clarified she's merely a fan of Rhenz.
From one Tiger to another, Rondina has this to say to her idol.
"Basta nakaka-proud siya na nag-stay siya. Madami pa siyang matututunan sa mundo at career niya. Sana 'yung path niya is maganda, and maging mas wise siya as a player and as a student," she said.
