IS Gilas Pilipinas doing a makeover again with their jerseys?
The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) on Friday announced in a press release that it will have a new outfitter starting this year after their long partnership with Nike expired at the end of 2024.
“SBP announces that their partnership with their former official outfitter concluded last year and that the federation will be working with a new partner,” said the SBP.

SBP has yet to release the identity of their new partner.
“The SBP has ensured that all Gilas teams will continue to be fully equipped for their upcoming local and international tournaments. Athletes will receive high-quality on-court and off-court apparel, compliant with tournament regulations, to perform at the top level. More details about SBP’s new outfitter will be announced soon.”

The SBP’s decision to choose a different brand draws to a close a longtime partnership between Gilas Pilipinas and Nike.
The Gilas jerseys that has the word ‘Pilipinas’ in front have become iconic over the years especially with the success of the national basketball team beginning in the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship in Manila.
The Gilas jersey got a revised look during the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament last year, with their games in the November window of the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 qualifiers as the last time that uniforms identified with the Nike brand as the last time they wore it.
