Ron Dennison turns entrepreneur selling home gym equipment online

Jul 24, 2020

WHILE other athletes are selling mostly food online to augment their income during the pandemic, Ron Dennison chose a business that's right down his alley.

The Blackwater guard recently got into online sale of gym equipment, perfect for people who want to keep a healthy lifestyle while stuck at home during the quarantine.

Dennison's Ron D Sports and Fitness sells items which are brought to the buyer through a delivery service provider.

The former Far Eastern University said he had nothing much to do during the first few months of COVID-19 pandemic, other than doing workouts.

“Nagsimula kasi ito nung lockdown, nasa second month na yata. Wala akong magawa sa bahay, puro lang workout, kain, movie. Ganun lang routine ko araw-araw.

“Tapos nun, may kaibigan kasi ako na nagbebenta ng gym equipment kaya naisipan ko, habang nagpapahinga ako, bakit kaya hindi ko i-try magbenta,” said Dennison.

The 26-year-old Dennison said he was surprised with the response.

“Kumuha lang ako ng tig-limang items muna. Then, pinost ko sa Instagram. Nagulat ako naubos agad so kumuha ulit ako hanggang sa nagtuloy-tuloy na siya,” said Dennison.

Dennison said he was happy that he was able to finally jumpstart a business with his fiancée during the pandemic, knowing how important it is for a young PBA player like him to invest for their future.

Expect Dennison to continue to be an entrepreneur even after the pandemic.

“Madami kami naisip na business pero ‘yan ‘yung natuloy,” said Dennison.
