PERSONA 3 RELOAD is a beautiful and fateful remake of 2006 hit, Persona 3. It’s back to school season and we couldn’t be happier to hit the books and explore the heights of Tartarus yet again.
Following up on the success of Persona 5: Royale, the Atlus team revisits the exploits of the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad (or simply SEES) and the school life at Gekkoukan High with the flair and style worthy of a game released in 2024.

A revitalized atmosphere
The Persona series stories have been known to stand the test of time. Persona 3 Reload once again proves testament to this as despite being nearly two decades old, it still provides an emotional and exciting tale at its core as it tackles youthful courage in the face of danger and death.
Making friends, finding love, and unleashing your Personas at your enemies is all relatable stuff really as you tackle a whole school year at Gekkoukan High.
Persona 3 Reload exudes style. No other game franchise makes Menu UIs as breathtaking as the Persona games. Why yes I’ll re-equip this Short Sword over and over again. Everything about the game was given a visual upgrade.
Locations like Paulownia Mall and the Iwatodai Dormitory have never looked more alive as in Persona 3 Reload. Characters also get brand new shine in them with updated sprites and art. Seeing fan-favorite characters like Mitsuru Kirijo and Yukari Takeba in scaled up high-definition is a treat in itself that makes Persona 3 Reload a must-buy for long time players.
The music of the series continues to hit home. When Persona 3 was first released the music was a clear outlier with its fusion of J-Pop and western rock/electronic hip hop.
Tracks have also been remastered and rearranged with the voice of the lovely Azumi Takahashi. The new renditions are perfect and Persona 3’s original tunes were already very high on the tier list of Persona music and this just elevated it to impressive new heights.

A colorful cast of characters
The brand new cast of Persona 3 Reload also deserves all the credit for their wonderful job in this remake. Previous stars Yuri Lowenthall and Tara Platt are surely proud of this new cast.
Aleks Le, Suzie Yeung, Allegra Clark, and Alejando Saab have all built stellar careers over the last few years. Comparing the original and the new cast is a moot point because they both did a wonderful job. With all Social Links being voiced now, Persona 3 Reload is an infinitely more immersing experience and makes school like all the more better.
There are even easter egg castings and we’ll only say one so you have to look for the rest. Persona 3 Akihiko Sanada voice actor Liam O’Brien is actually in Reload as Officer Kurosawa, the hard-working policeman who supplies the SEES with equipment.
With a whole school year to look forward to at Gekkoukan High School, players have a lot to dig into in Persona 3 Reload. Atlus have outdone themselves yet again with a highly stylish and polished experience in Persona 3 Reload. Persona 3 Reload is a beautiful amalgamation of the series past and present which fans, new and old, will talk about for many years to come.
