THE PBA said police arrested three scalpers on Tuesday after being caught selling tickets of Game Six of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals between Barangay Ginebra and Bay Area at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said the Quezon City Police District made the arrests in an entrapment operation in the vicinity of the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Marcial said the scalpers were selling the tickets online and arranging meet-ups in the Big Dome area. Quezon City has an ordinance against scalping.
“Nagpatulong tayo sa QCPD kay General (Nicolas) Torre at pinamumunuan ni Cyber Crime Unit Capt. (Michael) Bernardo para sa mga scalping online. Nag-coordinate ang mga tao natin at sila at nakahuli sila kahapon. May nahuling tatlo.”
Marcial also warned the public against dealing with scalpers especially those with tickets being sold online and payments done through mobile wallet.
“Doon sa mga nagbebenta online, wag nyo na gawin. Mag-ingat sila,” said Marcial.
