Amid public clamor and anticipation, the Filipino big man did not get any minutes from the Magic until its fourth assignment against the Portland Trailblazers.
Despite an 88-71 defeat, Sotto made an impression in his quest to become the Philippines' first homegrown NBA player.
Kai registered six points, four rebounds, three blocks, and one assist for Orlando.
