THE PBA said it is enjoying robust numbers in viewership in the 50th Season Philippine Cup Finals between San Miguel and TNT.
According to numbers released by the league, the PBA enjoyed a rise in TV ratings on RPTV from 2.11 percent AMR (Average Minute Rating) in Game One, to 2.54 percent in Game Two, to 2.98 percent in Game Three, based on Nielsen TAM Total Philippines ratings.

The ratings peaked at 2.6 percent in Game One, 3.5 percent in Game Two, and 3.6 percent in Game Three, despite the absence of the league’s most popular team, Barangay Ginebra, in the championship series.
The league added that there were approximately 1.83 million viewers in Game One, 2.46 million in Game Two, and 2.5 million in Game Three.
As comparison, Game 7 of last season’s Commissioner’s Cup Finals between TNT and Barangay Ginebra was the most watched during the 49th Season when it drew 5 million viewers with the ratings peaking at 7 percent.

The highest-rated game of the 49th Season was Game Four of the Governors’ Cup Finals between TNT and Barangay Ginebra where it netted 5.34 percent AMR with viewership of 3.9 million.
The PBA also had respectable attendance, particularly in Game Three last Sunday where a total of 10,252 witnessed the tussle at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Meanwhile, Game Four last Wednesday drew 9,378 fans.
