THIS year’s Valentine’s Day will be extra special for basketball star Paul Lee.
Paul’s wife, Rubie, once told SPIN.ph that Paul is a hopeless romantic, a far contrast from his demeanor on the court. Could it be because he was born on Valentine’s Day?
As the Magnolia star turns 30, he has all the reasons to be happy.
“Super special kasi lahat ng nangyayari ngayon special na kasi nandyan na si Tokyo,” said Paul of his four-month-old baby girl.
“Sobrang nabago niya ang buhay ko kasi yung priority mo mag-iiba talaga,” he added. “Kasi before iniisip ko lang kami ni Rubie pero ngayon lahat ng ginagawa mo para na sa baby mo na.”
With a steady career in the PBA, a chance to represent the Philippines in the final window of the FIBA World Cup qualifiers, and a happy family, Paul can’t ask for more.
“Nag-eenjoy ako [as a father],” he beamed. “Before si Rubie and bine-baby ko, ngayon we have our own na.”
When asked if he helps out with taking care of the baby like changing Tokyo’s diaper, Paul shared that his role as a basketball player applies to his role as a father.
“Si Rubie ang nagpapalit ng diaper, ako lang ang taga-tapon, taga-shoot lang ako ng diaper sa trash can,” he said.
