IT’S not your ordinary bike ride.
Join a fun community bike ride around the proposed 17-kilometer Pasig Green Loop with National Bicycle Day Philippines (NBO), Bayanihan sa Daan and Muni PH.
The ride will be followed by a discussion on mobility, road-sharing and the benefits of cycling with bicycle advocate Karen Crisostomo of NBO, lawyer Tony Oposa of Bayanihan sa Daan, architect/columnist Paolo Alcazaren and urban planner/ bike advocate Julia Nebrija.
The meetup and briefing at Capitol Commons Park in Pasig City is set at 6:30 a.m., to be followed by the ride out 30 minutes later to the Pasig Green Loop with stops in between to discuss the various key interest areas.
The ride will be followed by a forum to discuss mobility and road-sharing at the Capitol Commons Park.
A P150 fee will cover a pass to the forum, a National Bicycle Organization leg reflector and a post-ride beverage from Kajuayan. Proceeds of the ride will go to supporting National Bicycle Organization's free bike lessons and bike rides.
The National Bicycle Organization's vision is a bicycle- and pedestrian-friendly Philippines with well-designed bikeways and walkways that safely and conveniently encourage people to ride their bicycle and/or walk connecting them from their residences to the professional, commercial, recreational, cultural and educational destinations.
