What is Oracle for in ML?
Oracle is a defense item in Mobile Legends used to protect against magic damage while providing hp regen buffs to the wearer. It adds +850 HP, +42 Magic Defense, and +10% Cooldown Reduction to the wearer.
On top of that, Oracle has a passive effect that grants an additional +30% to all regen and shield effects received by the wearer. This is the most important attribute of Oracle, considering Oracle is a relatively weak magic defense item compared to Athena’s Shield and Radiant Armor. Oracle’s powerful passive effect makes up for its weaker magic defense.

Oracle ML: Which heroes is Oracle ideal for?
Considering the Oracle’s passive effect, it is best paired with heroes with healing skills, heroes with powerful lifesteal, and heroes with powerful regen abilities. It is ideal for the following heroes with healing skills in the game:
- Estes
- Minotaur
- Rafaela
- Angela
- Floryin
Oracle is also greatly beneficial for heroes with powerful lifesteal:
- Dyrroth
- Alice
- Ruby
- Alucard
- Alpha
- Thamuz
But let’s not forget that Oracle also enhances the shield and regen effects of heroes, hence, it is a powerful item when used by the following heroes with regen and shield passives:
- Esmeralda
- Hylos
- Thamuz
- Hilda
Oracle ML: Enhances all received healing and shield
Moreover, Oracle also enhances the effects of the natural HP regeneration of all heroes who wear it. In other words, if you wear Oracle, your natural healing speeds up.
Apart from this, if you wear Oracle, you will also receive 30% more HP when you kill creeps. It also enhances the effects of the Purple Buff or Blue Buff, which restores HP every time you kill minions, heroes, and creeps. At the base level, the HP regen obtained through Purple Buff is 3% for minions, 5% for heroes, and 12% for creeps. With Oracle, these are all significantly increased by 30%.
If you wear Oracle, you will enjoy an enhanced healing effect from your base and an enhanced all healing effect RECEIVED from your allies: Estes, Angela, Rafaela, Floryn, and Minotaur.
Particularly for Esmeralda, who generates the strongest shield in the game, it is imperative to buy Oracle early in the game to reduce her skills’ cooldown and increase the hitpoints of the shield she generates.
If there is an Angela in your team, you should also consider wearing Oracle so that the shield and the healing you receive from her is boosted.
Oracle ML - Best items to pair
Since Oracle enhances all forms of regen, many experienced players typically pair it with items that have lifesteal, spell vamp, and regen effects such as Haas’ Claws (base passive effect: +25% Physical Lifesteal), Bloodlust Axe (base passive effect: +20% Spell Vamp), Concentrated Energy (base passive effect: +25% Magic Lifesteal) and Guardian Helmet (base passive effect: regenerate 2.5% of Max HP per second).
But these are just some of the well-known items used for HP regen. There are other underrated items that also have HP regen effects that are also enhanced by Oracle, such as Ice Queen Wand (base passive effect: +10% Magic Lifesteal), Shadow Twinblades (base passive effect: +15% Magic Lifesteal), Necklace of Durance (base passive effect: Regenerates 20% Max HP and Mana over 2s after leveling up).
Oracle also greatly enhances the shield bestowed by Blood Wings (base passive effect: Gains a shield equal to 200% of Magic Power) and Immortality (base passive effect: Revives after 2.5s after death, gaining 16% Max HP and a 220 to 1,200 shield that lasts for 3s.)
Finally, Oracle also enhances the effects of the battle spells Aegis and (base passive effect: Gain a 750 [+90*Hero Level] sh9ield for 5s), and Revitalize (base passive effect: Restores 2.5% Max HP ever 0.4s to affected allied heroes including self, and increasing shield and HP regen effects by 25%). Oracle also enhances the effects of Inspire (base passive effect: Restore HP equivalent to 60 +15% Total Physical Attack x 15% Total Magic Power for every hit landed).
When should you wear Oracle?
Oracle is a decent defense item whose real value lies in its passive effect that enhances regen and shield. You should consider using Oracle if you meet the following conditions:
- You regularly receive healing or shield from an ally
- Your hero has a passive lifesteal ability
- Your hero has a passive regen ability
- Your hero has a passive shield ability
If you are regularly receiving healing from Estes, Angela, Rafaela, or Minotaur and you see your opponent wearing Dominance Ice or Necklace of Durance, you will notice that the regen effect of the healing you receive is significantly reduced to 50%. If this is the case, you should definitely consider wearing Oracle to counter the effects of Dominance Ice and Necklace of Durance. By using Oracle, you will negate the effects of Dominance Ice and Necklace of Durance by more than half.
How to counter Oracle ML
The best counter for Oracle is the passive effect called Life Drain. Among all the equipment in Mobile Legends, only three have this passive effect: Dominance Ice, Necklace of Durance, and Sea Halberd, which are the only three counters to Oracle.
You can find Dominance Ice in the Defensive Equipment, while you can find Necklace of Durance in the Magic Equipment, and Sea Halberd in the Attack Equipment.
Because of Life Drain, Dominance Ice is able to reduce the HP Regen effects of nearby enemies to 50%. On the other hand, Necklace of Durance and Sea Halberd also reduce the HP Regen effect of enemies to 50% every time your skill hits them. This effect lasts for 3s.
The biggest mistake people make when using Oracle in ML
The most common mistake people make in wearing Oracle is the assumption that once a healer wears it, all the healing effects cast by that healer on his or her teammates are enhanced.
That is not the case.
Oracle will only enhance the healing effects you receive if you are the one wearing the Oracle, not the healer!
So stop demanding your healers to wear Oracle if you are assuming that will increase the healing effects you receive.
