AFTER extending help to the Piston 6 jeepney drivers, and hosting several feeding programs during the lockdown, veteran PBA player Jervy Cruz continues to lend a helping hand to those in need.
A few days ago, the NorthPort Batang Pier forward celebrated his 34th birthday by doling out food assistance to jeepney drivers who had lost their jobs during the quarantine.
This Good Samaritan personally prepared the meals and went out to the streets to hand them out.
“Giving a little help to those who are in need during my special day. Hoping [these] food pack[s] will suffice for now,” he said in his Instagram post.
With lockdown restrictions banning public transportation, many jeepney drivers found themselves in dire straits over the past few months. It was only recently that a select number of routes have been opened in areas under the community quarantines.
Kind acts like these have become the ‘new normal’ for Jervy and his family. They celebrated birthdays through doing small acts of kindness.
