LAST Saturday, comic book enthusiasts and all-around geeks alike celebrated Batman’s 80th birthday. But even before all of that, a legendary actress that made her mark as the best Catwoman in the Dark Knight mythos by far already started celebrating.
On March 23, the amazing Michelle Pfeiffer uploaded a video on Instagram, sharing a little nostalgic item from her Catwoman days in Batman Returns that she found out of the blue.
Her whip looks like it has been kept in a magical baul somewhere, never to be unearthed again. Unless, of course, it’s Batman’s 80th birthday, so you have to really go all out and bring out the bad boy.
We thought that was that, but just yesterday, Ms. Pfeiffer posted a video on IG again. This time, she showed how she never quite lost her touch on that trademark whip. We can already hear her saying “meow.”
In case you didn’t know, Pfeiffer played Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, in the second installment of the first Batman film franchise. Batman Returns also starred Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Danny DeVito as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin. And the badass Michelle Pfeiffer famously did all of her own work with the whip in the 1992 Tim Burton film, even cutting the heads of a number of mannequins in a single take. Still don’t think she’s the best Catwoman ever? Just watch.
