VOLLEYBALL star Michele Gumabao wants to win two titles in two different worlds and she likes the pressure that goes with it.
The Creamline stunner will leave for Albania on October 9 to compete in the Miss Globe 2018 pageant. But before that, Gumabao will be around when the Cool Smashers start their campaign in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference on Saturday at the Imus Sports Complex in Cavite.
“Dalawang korona talaga, I wanna be Miss Globe 2018 and of course the PVL (title),” said Gumabao.
When asked how she’s handling all the commitments, the former La Salle star said she embraces all the pressure that comes with it.
“‘Yung pressure na ‘yun inspiration mo, ‘yun ‘yung motivation mo,” she said.
“Ako, gustung-gusto ko ‘yung pressure,” she admitted. “Gustung-gusto ko na, ok kailangan maganda ako ngayon, kailangan pak na pak ang suot ko, so lahat pinaghahandaan ko.”
Although sports and beauty pageants are totally different, Gumabao knows how to excel.
Her day starts with volleyball practice, while she squeezes in her other commitments in the afternoon, including her preparation for Miss Globe.
“‘Yung coronation night namin, championship kumbaga, is on October 21,” she said.
