JAYSON Tatum’s son held up a very encouraging sign right before the start of a crucial Game 6 for Boston.
It was a cute moment. But by the fourth quarter, he couldn’t care less — he was already busy tapping at a tablet.
Perhaps it was better this way. If he’d looked up and watched the on-court action, he would have witnessed his dad’s team buckle and fold under an aggressive Heat offense, led by Miami big Bam Adebayo and rookie Tyler Herro.
After three close quarters, the Heat took control in the fourth quarter and soundly defeated the Celtics, 125-113. They will now face the Lakers in the finals of the NBA’s weirdest year.
The Heat trended on Twitter, with already 225,000 tweets as the team hoisted their Eastern Conference finals trophy. Coach Erik Spoelstra also trended on the platform.
Herro also trended slightly on Twitter, with 25,000 Tweets and climbing fast.
Take a look.
