The Portland point guard, freshly out of the bubble after the Lakers sent them packing in Game 5 of their semis series, could not resist digging the dagger in a little deeper at the LA Clippers’ Pat Beverley.
The Clippers themselves have just been knocked out of the Finals race by the Denver Nuggets, in a blowout game, 104-89, today (Tuesday night, Orlando time).
Dame took the opportunity to get back at Beverley, inviting him to a little Cancun getaway now that he’s heading out of the bubble.
The “Cancun” dig seems to be a callback to an earlier incident in August, when Beverley trolled Lillard on the court and on a Bleacher Report Instagram post, saying, “Cancun on 3” followed by laughing emoji.
Wine connoisseur and Lillard teammate CJ McCollum also chimed in with a few jabs of his own.
Between the two of them, Dame and McCollum DID. NOT. LET. UP.
