IT was a meeting of two "superheroes" as the UAAP's Flash met the former NCAA Antman.
Five-foot-8 UST guard Mark Nonoy told SPIN Life that Mark Cruz visited the Tigers' den on Saturday to give a few words of advice.
'Yung spirit niya grabe talaga."
Mark Cruz is currently with the Pampanga Lanterns. Together with coach Aldin Ayo, the 5-foot-6 standout steered Letran to a championship in 2015, where he was awarded as the NCAA Season 91 Finals MVP. His outstanding plays earned him the moniker "AntMan".
Nonoy also shared that Cruz also trained with them, and that he got to play the 27-year-old's counter.
Mahirap talaga eh," he said.
The UAAP's "The Flash", however, emphasized that team play is always more important than individual performance.
"Puso talaga eh, pero mas maganda lahat kayo gusto manalo, mas magaan," he added.
Nonoy made 16 points, four rebounds, and four assists for the Growling Tigers as they dominated UP, 89-69, on Sunday, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
