IN PROMOTING Zack Snyder's sci-fi space opera show Rebel Moon: Part One - A Child of Fire, Netflix published a trailer featuring one of the most iconic aliens in Filipino pop culture history: Kokey!
In the trailer Kokey can be seen inspired by Rebel Moon, hence his decision to work out.
A montage was made where Kokey evolved from a friendly alien to a muscular powerhouse, who eventually became involved in Rebel Moon, drawing laughs from the community.
Is Rebel Moon worth watching?
Given Kokey's easter egg appearance in the Rebel Moon trailer, should fans watch Zack Snyder's latest project?
Rebel Moon currently hosts a talented cast featuring Academy Award actors Djimon Hounsou and Anthony Hopkins.
Yet despite its talented actors, the show has negative reviews with Rotten Tomatoes giving them a 4.1/10 rating.
The series is praised for its visuals, worldbuilding, and action sequences, but falls short in storytelling and character development.
But things might develop especially when the extended cut and the sequels are released, which will happen in 2024.
