Students and employees at the De La Salle University campus along Taft Avenue have an unexpected #WalangPasok week, as the university administration announced that they will suspend all classes and office work from December 2 to 7 to make way for the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
The DLSU's Manila campus is located near the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, the site of several SEA Games events. Just yesterday, the MMDA proposed that schools near SEA Games venues be granted holidays to help manage the flow of traffic.
December 1 to 7 will be the height of the SEA Games activities in Manila. The MMDA expects heavy traffic in the metro as the holiday traffic compounds with the Games' events.
