ON a night when Gilas Pilipinas was shown the door by Australia in the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup, there was at least one silver lining for the fans who were left heartbroken with the country's elimination
Dropping out in the quarterfinal phase after an 84-60 loss to Australia on Wednesday, fans were given a glimpse of the future in the form of Kevin Quiambao who continued his fine form in the tournament on an otherwise grueling night.

The two-time UAAP MVP dropped 17 points, grabbed four rebounds, and drilled five triples on eight tries—timely shots that kept Gilas fighting and the crowd believing for a comeback that never came.
Filipino fans were quick to salute the Sono Skygunners star, flooding social media with praise for his clutch, composed performance.
