KIM CHIU, the Kapamilya star who portrayed in UST great Sisi Rondina in a recent Maalaala Mo Kaya episode, reaffirmed her love for volleyball as she came to watch the match between Pacific Town Army and Creamline in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference on Wednesday at The Arena in San Juan.

Chiu played volleyball and teamed up with Lady Troopers head coach Kungfu Reyes and Cool Smashers setter Jia Morado in the Star Magic All-Star Games 2019 on August 29.

“Yes, pinagtugma namin ‘yung mga schedule namin lahat to support coach Kungfu and Ate Jia so nandito kami ngayon,” said Chiu, who came with her Team Red pals.

She added that they were supposed to watch the games on Saturday, but canceled when they learned that both teams would play on Wednesday.

“Alam nila [na pupunta kami], dapat sa Saturday pero ngayon dalawa na silang may game so sakto kalahati sa amin nandito. Karamihan sa amin first time manonood ng legit volleyball games,” said Chiu.

“May nabuong friendship within the team,” added actress Chie Filomeno. “Expected na mawawalan kami ng boses today so okay lang.”

When asked if there’s a possibility for her to play in the PVL, Chiu was quick to dismiss the idea, saying she's only built to play exhibition games.

“Hindi, 'no! Diyos ko nakita mo ba silang pumalo? Itong si Jovelyn (Gonzaga), grabe. So manonood na lang kami. All-Star Games okay ako toon, dito sa PVL hindi kaya,” she said.
