THE FACE OF DOGECOIN and one of the most beloved Shiba Inu online sensations has now passed away.

Kabosu, who is publicly known as the 'Doge meme,' has met a peaceful end, as announced via Instagram by the owner.

"To all of you who loved Kabosu, on the morning of the 24th of May, Kabosu crossed the rainbow bridge. Thank you all so much for your support over the years."

"She went very peacefully without suffering, as if falling asleep while feeling the warmth of my hands petting her."

"Thank you all so much for loving Kabosu all these years. I am certain that Kabosu was the happiest dog in the world."

Back in November 2, 2008, Kabosu met her owner. During the 18th birthday celebration, the owner recalled their very first recollection of the Dogecoin icon.

"I still remember her on the first day she came home. She was scared, sitting in the corner of the room, motionless and silent. She simply stared at me with those big round eyes," they started.
