A PLAYER from a renowned recreational league in Metro Manila scored more than a hundred points in one of its games recently.
Jimboy Deles did the unthinkable for Colmax Collagen in its LGR Hoops Season 8 match by hitting the century mark in scoring and then some, finishing the game with 130 points in their 174-83 win over Tigers.
League officials confirmed such feat by Deles, a regular in recreational basketball leagues, as he knocked down an impressive 41 three-pointers to spike his whopping output.
So dominant was Deles’ scoring performance that he scored more than half of his team’s output, and made more points than their opponent combined.
Mind-blowing statistics isn’t really new in recreational leagues such as LGR Hoops. Mac Santos, a barangay chairman of Elias Aldana in Las Pinas City recorded 98 points in the Next5 Hoops league last year.
Edward Garcia made a different feat when he had a quintuple-double by tallying 21 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists, 10 steals, and 10 blocks in the Shang Properties Basketball Tournament.
