JAMIE Christine Lim is nothing but thankful for the outpouring of support she and Agatha Wong gardered in their fundraising drive for the medical frontliners battling the global COVID-19 pandemic.
"We're so happy and we'd like to thank all our donors. We're so overwhelmed na sobrang daming tumulong," said the daughter of PBA legend Samboy Lim as she graced Tuesday's online Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum.
Lim, who won the gold medal in the women's +61kg kumite this past 30th Southeast Asian Games, collaborated with Wong, who took home two gold medals in wushu, as they trotted out their five-episode Instagram Live series titled Puso: The Battle Against COVID-19 back in May.
Those episodes saw both national athletes discuss a variety of topics from sports to health.
It's a heartwarming experience for Lim to see the deluge of people who willingly helped their cause as she and Wong truly made the most of the platform given to them.
"We wanted to raise funds for the frontliners and patients of Quezon City kasi we're both from QC. We also wanted to inspire people to go to sports kasi ang laking halaga ng sports para sa amin ni Agatha and it will stay in our lives forever," she said.

All in all, the fundraiser garnered about P350,000, which the duo used to donate personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Philippine General Hospital and the Quezon City General Hospital.
"Super happy kami ni Agatha because we already concluded all the donations and naubos na lahat ng money. Yung fundraiser namin, if you'll check our Instagram, nakapag-donate kami sa PGH at sa QCGH ng PPEs and sobrang daming varieties," she said.
Bless your heart, girls.
