JACK Animam is doing her part in helping out the frontliners in her hometown in Malolos, Bulacan.
The outspoken center from National University has taken it up to herself to help the medical personnel at the forefront of the province's battle against the global COVID-19 pandemic.
With the help of her friends, Animam has organized a fundraising drive in hopes of buying more personal protective equipments (PPEs) and providing food for these frontliners.
"We are currently facing a kind of enemy that we can’t see with our bare eyes. What we only get to see are the number of our kababayans being contacted and worse, dying because of this COVID-19 virus. But we are still thankful that we have our frontliners working round the clock in making sure they get to work and help us in dealing with this virus," she said.
As of Monday, the province of Bulacan currently has 39 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 12 recorded deaths and one already recovering from the virus.
This year's PSA Ms. Basketball has now garnered over P25,000 in funds and is hoping that more people will join her cause.

"We are aiming to help two to three small public hospitals, pero it really depends sa donation na mare-raise namin," she said.
Details of Animam's fundraiser can be seen here.
