IT didn't take long for Calvin Abueva's spat with former NBA player Terrence Jones to go viral, which was understandable after top US sports websites carried videos of the fight on their social media pages.
The reactions also flowed, mostly mixed.
One post that drew the most interaction was that of NBA guard Isaiah Thomas, who promised to 'beat his ass' in reaction to the video of the fight that marred the PBA Commissioner's Cup game between Phoenix and TNT.
Reaction to the post by the former Celtics and Cavs guard was mixed, with some fans poking fun at Thomas' lack of stature and others giving a stamp on approval.
Thomas, however, was so pissed that he fired a succeeding tweet, just to make it clear that his threat is directed at Abueva and not Jones.
One such fan reaction goes like this:
Also reacting was the Golden State Warriors' Aussie center Andrew Bogut, who apparently has yet to get over the brawl that marred the Fiba qualifier between the Boomers and Gilas Pilipinas last July.
Abueva, you see, was part of that Gilas side and was subsequently suspended six games for his role in the brawl.
