HAROLD Alarcon can call himself a champion again on the court after University of the Philippines reclaimed the UAAP men’s basketball title.
Amid a sea of maroon, Alarcon also proved he’s a champion off the court as well.

The Fighting Maroon hotshot, whose looks are just as good as his game, shared a special moment with his athlete-girlfriend Roma Doromal and her family in the middle of a UP celebration after the title-clinching Game 3 win.

The Doromal clan was among a record 25,284-strong crowd at the Big Dome to have witnessed UP’s second championship coronation in four seasons.
Capital1’s rookie-libero first took a photo with a bemedalled Alarcon, and then with the rest of her family before the UP star gave her a few kisses to the forehead.
HaRoma stays strong
Even with overlapping schedules in the UAAP and PVL, finding time to support each other strengthens the foundation of their relationship.
But it isn’t just Doromal’s presence in the Fighting Maroons’ games that gives Alarcon strength.

Their dynamic relationship away from their courts has been nothing short of an anchor amid hectic training and match stretches.

For athletes like them, quality time is one thing but words of affirmation weighs just as much — if not, more important in times of hardships.
“Si Roma as a girlfriend, grabe talaga ‘yung support niya sa’kin,” Alarcon told SPIN.ph.
“The way niya ko kausapin, the way siya magbigay sa’kin ng advice, malaking tulong din talaga sa’kin as an athlete. Malaking bagay talaga siya sa’kin.”
