SALOMON, one of the leading brands in trail running, will once again have the Salomon X-Trail Pilipinas 2014 this April 12.
The Hamilo Coast in Batangas will be the venue for this year's trail running event and will come in two race categories: Road to Trail Runs & Mountain Runs. Race distances are 6km and 12km Road to Trail, and 24km and 32km Mountain Run.
The Global ‘X-Trail’ branding is reputed to be a technical trail running race, with a mixture of different terrain surfaces including dirt, rocks, sand and concrete paths. This is the first time Salomon will introduce the Mountain Run Category in the country, which simulates the vertical ascents of skyrunning.
The race will be the fourth annual race for Salomon in the Philippines. The Salomon X-Trail has been present in the Southeast Asia Region since 2008 which also includes races in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Indonesia.
