GERMANY'S Andre Greipel topped a bunched sprint finish in Stage 13 on Saturday for his third victory in the Tour de France.
Greipel and 42 other riders clocked four hours, 57 minutes and 59 seconds for the 217-kilometer race from St. Paul Trois Chateaux to Le Cap d’Adge, with the German taking top honors for the day ahead of Peter Sagan, who has also scored three stage victories, and Edvald Boasson Hagen.
Stages Four and Five were won by Greipel.
Bradley Wiggins, Chris Froome, Vincenzo Nibali and last year’s champion Cadel Evans was part of that big group, which meant no change at the top of the general individual classification.
The yellow jersey remains on Wiggins shoulders, and he holds a 2:05 lead over Froome, 2:23 ahead of Nibali and 3:19 clear of Evans.
Stage 14 is a 191-km ride from Limoux to Foix featuring two Category One climbs.
