SPECTATORS on opening day of the 2023 Fiba Basketball World Cup on Aug. 25 at the Philippine Arena will get freebies upon their entry to the venue as part of the initiative of local organizers to set a new attendance record in the tournament’s history.
The 4 p.m. game pits Angola against Italy, while the match at 8 o'clock features the Philippines against the Dominican Republic.
Fans will receive coupons for Jollibee Cheesy Yumburger upon presenting opening-day tickets at the gate, while Fiba Basketball World Cup 2023 merchandise will also be distributed to spectators at different sections such as scarves, clappers, and rally towels.

Special LED wristbands will also be distributed inside the venue so fans can be a part of the special lights show.
Local organizers are going all out to break the current attendance record of 32,616 that was set during the 1994 final between the United States and Russia.
To also encourage more fans to attend the game, local organizers have also hired 400 P2P buses to transport fans to the Philippine Arena.
The 49-seater premium grade airconditioned buses will have its pick-up points at PITX Bus Terminal, Mall of Asia Arena, One Ayala Bus Terminal, BGC Market Market Bus Terminal, SM Megamall, Araneta City, Trinoma, SM North, Clover Leaf Ayala Mall Bus Terminal SM Baliuag, SM Pampanga, and SM Clark.
The buses will start departing from the terminal starting at 11 a.m. and 12 noon, and hourly from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
