FLOYD Mayweather Jr. has been to 24 countries in the last 24 months but nothing compares to the warm welcome and love that the Filipinos gave him in his second visit in the country.
Although he’s one of the Manny Pacquiao’s rivals inside the ring, Mayweather, even once, did not feel that he's an antagonist on Philippine soil.
“With me traveling the world, this is where the people are so loving and so positive,” he said on Wednesday night during the SV private Party hosted by Frontrow International president RS Francisco and Frontrow CEO Sam Verzosa at Corinthian Gardens in Quezon City.
“In the US you have a lot of support but in the Philippines is nothing but love and so many positive people so I love in here so I will be back,” he added.
The retired boxing champion, who’s currently in the Philippines for vacation and business, recounted how the he fell in love with the island of Boracay.
“We really enjoy Boracay, we really had fun,” he said. “Something different, a different beach. Because we’ve been to almost every beach around the world so we compare different beaches.”
“We played beach volleyball [on Tuesday] in Boracay,” shared Mayweather.
With his pilots AJ Ramey, Dan Booth and Gentry Long always on standby, Pretty Boy can go anywhere in the world anytime aboard his Air Mayweather private jet.
But the question is, where could his next destination be?
“We travel the world, 24 countries in the last 24 months,” revealed Mayweather.
“In this trip, we went to London and we went to Manchester, then we went to Dubai then Abu Dhabi then we went back to Dubai. Then Maldives, then Manila and then Boracay and back to Manila,” he added. “So we don’t know what’s next.”
