FOR the first time in nearly 17 years, the Sacramento Kings won an NBA playoff game after a Game One thriller at home against the reigning champions Golden State Warriors, 126-123.
The Kings bucked a slow start to make the most of their home opener, with postseason debutants De'Aaron Fox and Malik Monk combining for 70 big points to take the 1-0 edge in the best-of-seven series.
The returning Andrew Wiggins and Stephen Curry had their chances to save Golden State's late-game meltdown, but their missed triples helped Sac-Town end their playoff drought in style.
